Lara and Mazen came to us and it was very evident that they were very much in love and were so ecstatic about having their wedding in Greece and specifically on the Athens Riviera. Both are of Lebanese decent but Lara was living in Abu Dhabi while Mazen was living in Riyadh, but this didn't make things difficult as the couple communicated perfectly with our team. Their vision was clear and both being proud of their Lebanese upbringing and this celebration was about bringing in all their family and friends from all over the world to share a day filled with special moments, great food and of course first class entertainment.
The wedding celebrations started with a pre-wedding party held at a lovely beach venue and the theme was influenced by Ancient Greece. Greek goddesses handed out gold wreath headbands to the ladies which went well perfect with their Grecian dresses which was the theme for the day. Lara entered the venue on a donkey and musicians playing the traditional bouzouki and guitar delighted the guests who were enjoying their matsicha spritz cocktails at the time.
The tables were elegantly decorated with an olive tree in Grecian urns decorated with roses and greenery. After a delectable meal, the dancing started off with traditional Greek dancers that encouraged guests to dance to Zorba the Greek.
Private House at Island Art and Taste was the venue we decided on for their wedding as it has the most exquisite view of the Athens Riviera and having a superb view was one of the prerequisites of the couple.
After speaking to Lara for many hours we understood that our sweet, down to earth bride wanted a rustic feel to her wedding and that her favourite colour was pink. We decided to create a garden feel to their wedding and we incorporated swings into the theme. A custom-made swing decorated with the florals of the wedding was created and the guests were delighted to use it as a backdrop for taking photos.
Guests were also welcomed to an exquisitely decorated dessert table decorated in the style and colours of the wedding, displaying both Lebanese and Greek sweets. Swings with floral arrangements were suspended from the pergola which was decorated with fairy lights creating a romantic ambiance as the evening progressed.
The tables were expertly decorated with a swing suspended on a flower filled arch and hanging candles adding a mystical garden feel to the stunning venue.
The groom made his upbeat Zaffa entrance with an electric violinist, drummers and led clothed dancers which got guests into the mood for a great party ahead while Lara later entered with her father to a custom-made song which had her mom in tears.
A quirky jazz singer was the entertainer during dinner and had all the guests sang along to Fred Astaire and Nat King Cole to name a few.
After dinner, the groom surprised Lara with a dance performed with his friends which had all guests in stitches. The couple then proceeded with their first dance while fireworks went off, and then the party started and ended till the early hours of the morning.
The biggest thank you to our greatest partners in crime, Mazen and Lara for trusting us completely and to our amazing team of vendors for pushing the boundaries and for the love and hard work that made this wedding a day to remember for all.
