When Jamil and Ruby decided to use us as their wedding planners we knew that we were in for a challenge to create a spectacular event that would entice guests as well as our amazing couple.

Jamil and Ruby envisioned a glamourous wedding and their key goal was for guests to be entertained all night long as well as to highlight their personal sense of style. Our design team aimed to create a concept that suited their personalities whilst perfecting the balance of a luxury destination wedding and the venue’s understated elegance.

This dazzling celebration on the Athens Riviera showcased a luxurious 20’s style wedding incorporating mirrors, chandeliers and crystal candelabras and of course my brides favourite colour, purple.

The colours that were used in the mirrored vases were mostly white hydrangeas with a pop of lilac roses. This striking combination worked brilliantly on the mirrored tables that were enhanced with breathtaking crystal candelabras. What set this wedding apart was the personal touches like the table numbers that were named after gems, which were placed on specially designed mirrors. Transparent tents were set up with fairy lights and chandeliers hanging ornately from the ceiling creating a spectacular ambiance for this 20’s style wedding celebration.

Our couple entered the breathtaking venue with an impressive zaffa which is a wedding procession filled with music and dance usually using drums. It’s a custom with a long history in Arab cultures and the tradition continues till today. Jamil and Ruby danced under illuminated fairy lights and chandeliers with their guests joining in before their dinner started. A band played 20’s music while Gatsby dancers entertained guests during dinner. Fireworks were expelled into the beautiful Athenian skies while the couple cut their 7 tiered Swarovski embellished cake with an antique sword. Endless dancing ensued to the DJ’s mix of mainstream, Arab and Greek music.

As with all Riviera Blu Events celebrations no element was left out of this flagship luxury wedding.
